Got fire in your belly and tongs in hand? BBQBEACH.COM.HK is looking for people who live for the sizzle. If you’re the one flipping pork belly on a windy Hong Kong beach or perfecting grilled eggplant on a rainy balcony, we want to hear from you.
This isn’t a blog built on fluff. It runs on flame, smoke, good food, and stories from the grill. If you’ve got something worth sharing—whether it’s a secret marinade, a story about a cookout gone sideways, or a new take on fish skewers—we’re listening.
What We Look For
You don’t need credentials. You do need experience. We want real BBQ voices. Cooks who’ve tested things over fire. Recipes you’ve made more than once. Stories that smell like smoke and feel like home.
Categories we love:
- BBQ Meats – Slow-roasted, smoked, charred, or quick-seared. Pork ribs, chicken wings, skewers that drip flavor.
- BBQ Seafood – Grilled prawns, soy-glazed mackerel, anything from the sea that hits flame.
- Veggie Grillables – Sweet peppers, corn, eggplant, mushrooms. If it grills well, we’re all in.
- Bites & Treats – Starters, crunchy sides, cold salads, sweet endings—especially those you can eat with one hand.
- Handhelds – Wraps, burgers, loaded buns. No forks required.
- Flavor Boosters – Rubs, brines, sauces, marinades. Anything that sticks to meat or gets spooned over char.
Who This Is For
This is for folks who’ve grilled on rooftops, beaches, or cramped balconies with just enough space to flip a skewer. For cooks who’ve burned fingers, improvised tools, and fed people anyway.
If you’ve stood over hot grates, trusted your gut, and served food that made folks stick around—you’re in the right place.
Whether you’re a home griller, street food fan, or just someone who knows how to coax flavor from fire, we want your story.
You don’t need credentials. Just the smoke, the effort, and something worth sharing.
What to Send
We want your voice, not a script. If you’ve cooked it, tasted it, changed it, and still love it—send it over.
Your Recipe
- Original only. We don’t accept recycled posts or AI copy-paste blends. Recipes need to come from your hands, your grill, your kitchen.
- Include every ingredient you use—oil, seasoning, marinade, optional garnish, even water if you boiled something. Keep it clear.
- Measurements don’t have to be perfect, but they do need to be honest. A spoon, a splash, a handful? Fine. Just make sure it makes sense.
- Instructions should walk the reader through every part of the cook. Heat levels, timing, texture cues, what to smell, what to watch for, what not to rush. Talk like you're guiding a friend through it, not writing for a cooking show.
The Backstory (Optional but golden)
Why this recipe? Where did you make it first? Did you forget an ingredient and end up with something better? What grill were you working with—makeshift beach pit, rusted charcoal tin, balcony hibachi?
Mistakes, improvisations, victories—all welcome. We like a recipe with scars.
Visuals That Make Us Hungry
Got a phone? That’s enough. Send photos that show the food, don’t over-style. Grill marks, bubbling sauce, burnt edges, greasy fingers—whatever you’ve got. Natural light beats filters every time.
If you only have words, that’s fine too. We can figure it out, but great visuals always help tell the full story.
About You (Optional)
Want to include your name, hometown, or grilling origin story? Great. Want to stay anonymous and just share the recipe? Also great.
You can write under your own name, a nickname, or let us publish it as a house recipe. Your call.
If you’ve got a blog, Instagram, or channel, we can link it (see details below).
Why Write Here
We’re not another polished recipe dump. BBQBEACH.COM.HK is built for cooks who know how to control a flare-up and laugh when they drop a burger. The kind of people who taste as they go, make food louder, and feed friends before themselves.
People don’t come here for perfection. They come for food that feeds crowds and leaves behind empty skewers.
Your recipe won’t disappear into a feed or get lost in tags. Here’s what you get instead:
Your Name (If You Want It)
You can take credit. Or stay low-key. Some folks just want to share. Others want to build something. Either way, your choice.
A Live Link
If you’ve got a site, channel, or Instagram full of food, we’ll link to it. We charge a small publication fee to keep the lights on. But if your story's strong and the recipe hits right, we’ll work with you.
Real Audience
This isn’t a passive scroll-and-forget kind of place. People try what they read here. They message us when they nail it. Sometimes when they mess it up. Your recipe could be part of their next weekend gathering or lazy beach day.
A Seat at the Table
You're joining a crew of folks who’ve burned their hands, started fires with junk mail, and still serve food with pride. Real cooks. Real stories. Real heat.
