Brush the chicken thighs with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Place the chicken thighs on the grill, skin side down. Grill for 5-7 minutes.
Flip the chicken thighs and grill for another 5-7 minutes.
Brush BBQ sauce on both sides of the chicken thighs and grill for an additional 10-15 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
