Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork shoulder cut into cubes
  • 1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the pork shoulder and cook until browned on all sides.
  2. 2. Add the diced onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. 3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika. Cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, and beef broth. Stir to combine.
  5. 5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the pork is tender.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
