- 2 cups blackberries fresh or frozen
- 1 cup ketchup
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
1. In a saucepan, combine all ingredients.
2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.
3. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
5. Blend the sauce until smooth using a blender.
6. Strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds.
