Ingredients 

Marinade

  • 500 g pork shoulder
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions 

  1. Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add the pork shoulder, ensuring it's well-coated.
  3. Marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Place the pork on a rack over a baking tray.
  6. Roast for 45 minutes, basting occasionally with the leftover marinade.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
