Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup warm water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Filling

  • 1 cup BBQ pork, diced
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions 

  1. Mix yeast, warm water, and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and knead into a dough.
  3. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  4. Mix BBQ pork, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil for the filling.
  5. Divide dough into small balls, flatten, and fill with pork mixture.
  6. Steam buns for 15 minutes.
