  • ¼ cup Mirin
  • ¼ cup Sake
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Grated ginger
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar.
  2. 2. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
  3. 3. Add grated ginger and minced garlic. Stir well.
  4. 4. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and let it cool. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
  6. 6. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
